Kalkyl is a new brand launched by Kube Studio in Nuremberg, designed to go beyond the conventional boundaries of web agencies. We dive deep to deliver truly custom software solutions—on par (but with nicer ux/ui design) with those provided by larger competitors serving major companies in Germany.
We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about creating software that’s both a joy to use and exciting to build.
What you'll do
From Process Automation and digitalizing paper-based processes to developing headless or custom eCommerce solutions and gamified applications, we leverage cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems. As part of our tight-knit 5-person development team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence project direction and see the direct impact of your work. Your contributions are vital to our success, and you’ll work closely with all team members to deliver exceptional solutions.
Be involved in all stages of development, from initial concept and architecture to testing and deployment
Design and implement robust, modular and scalable backend services
Ensure that all solutions meet our exacting standards for quality, performance, and user experience
Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and other stakeholders
Share your expertise with colleagues, offering guidance and support when needed
Collaborate with our team to explore new technologies and methodologies
Requirements
We don't expect you to tick every box, but strong experience with a backend language (like C#/Java/Kotlin/PHP) fundamentals and experience with TypeScript are must-haves.
Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET (or Java/Spring or similar frameworks).
You know your way around ORM's like Entity Framework or Drizzle, and know to interact with SQL.
Experience with Git and GitHub for version control.
Knowledge of Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with TypeScript and component-based frontend frameworks like Svelte or React.
At least four years of professional experience in software engineering after completing your IT degree or comparable training.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in German (company language) and proficiency in written English.
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and share knowledge.
